At the very end of Hunstanton’s South Promenade, Horizons stands in an unique location, with direct access onto the prom and beach. This detached beach house has views from the upstairs rooms and balcony across the whole of the Wash from Kings Lynn to Skegness, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the glorious sunsets – and children can nip down on to the beach!

Although the postal address is 65 North Beach, Heacham, ‘HORIZONS’ is easier to access from the very end of South Beach Road, Hunstanton, to the right of the ‘ramp’ and next to the beach. Approached along a short gravel drive through locked double metal gates to a gravel area giving ample parking for two cars, the whole site is fully fenced and has a small locked gate leading directly onto the promenade. There is a large grass area for sitting in the sun or for children to play safely, and a locked brick storage shed containing garden furniture and a portable barbeque. There is also a rotary clothes line for drying clothes, or wet towels after a swim, and an outside tap to hose the family (and dog) down after a day on the beach!
Accommodation
The house itself is double glazed with the benefit of gas fired central heating with radiators in every room. There is also an electric fire and electric fans should either be needed. It is fully equipped with iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, hair drier, Music Centre, TV with Freesat and DVD in the Lounge, and a portable TV with Freesat in the Kitchen. Accommodation is arranged over two floors and is suitable for all ages. There are three bedrooms sleeping 6 comfortably, and a sofa bed makes it viable for the extended family of 8, or even two families. A well behaved family pet is also welcome.
The small entrance hall has a shoe rack and storage shelves and off here is a light and airy double bedroom with two single beds, built in wardrobe, built-in wardrobe with clothes storage, bedside tables and lamps. The main hallway gives access to the bathroom, with bath and wash basin, electric shower over the bath and a shaver socket, a separate W.C., and a large kitchen/diner fully equipped with ample storage cupboards, electric oven with ceramic hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, toaster and kettle. The large square bay window with window seating and pine table provides an ample eating area.
A very steep, carpeted, but open tread staircase leads from the hallway to the upper floor with a fitted wooden stair gate at the top.
At the top of the stairs is the large, wood panelled lounge area with a comfortable cane suite, double sofa bed, coffee tables, lamps, TV, Video and a freestanding electric fire. A shelf unit holds a music centre, board games, playing cards, books and magazines should you want a quiet evening in! and there’s a telescope to look at the tremendous views across the Wash from Kings Lynn to Skegness, or maybe for bird watching. A Tourist Board dispenser holds leaflets and maps with ideas for days out in Norfolk. A glazed sliding door leads to the large balcony with a bench seat to sit and enjoy the marvellous sunsets and a storage unit containing extra chairs for relaxing on the balcony.
Off the lounge are two cosy wood panelled double bedrooms, one with a double bed the other with two singles. Both bedrooms have bedside tables, lamps, chests of drawers, shelves with mirrors over and built in wardrobes.
There is a high chair and travel cot to accommodate the tiny tots, but you would need to provide your own bedding for the cot. All the beds have pillows and duvets, and bed linen and towels (except beach towels), are available to hire if required. Gas and electricity are included in the rental.

A refundable damage deposit of £150 will be charged for each booking.
Dogs are welcome in both properties and are subject to a charge of £30 per dog.
Bed Linen may be hired for both properties at £25 pppw BEDDING ONLY or £30 pppw if TOWELS are also required
A Non refundable deposit of 30% of the total price is payable on booking. The balance is PAYABLE 4 weeks prior to holiday.
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday but short breaks may be available, usually between September and April, Please enquire. 2/3 nights will be charged 75% of 1 week’s rental, 4/5 nights 90% of 1 week’s rental.
PLEASE NOTE:
‘MIDWAY’ is not available from 28 October 2023 and 24 February 2024 and 02 November 2024 to 23 February 2025
‘HORIZONS’ is not available between 06 January – 03 February 2024
Both properties have a 20 weeks total booking restriction from KLWN Borough Council.
